Southern Maryland residents will have a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of Maryland's only nuclear power plant when Calvert Cliffs opens its training simulator to the general public during Community Information Night on Thursday, October 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend this free, family-friendly event to learn more about nuclear energy and station operations. Station employees will be on hand to educate visitors on safety and security, environmental stewardship, emergency planning and much more. Kid-friendly activities will be provided, along with informational handouts and light refreshments.

"We look forward to welcoming our neighbors," said Calvert Cliffs Site Vice President, George Gellrich. "Community Information Night is a wonderful time to interact with the community and show residents what we do here every day to generate clean and reliable power in our region."

Visitors are asked to park in the station's Nuclear Office Facility (NOF) parking lot at 1650 Calvert Cliffs Parkway. Parking attendants will provide directions. If you require special accommodations or have questions about Community Information Night, please contact Janna Jackson at 410-495-5221 or janna.jackson@exeloncorp.com.
