Children’s Aid, Inc. is currently conducting our annual “Supplies for Success” Drive in support of our Operation Backpack Program in Calvert County. This year, Operation Backpack will be providing 200 local children with the school supplies they need to succeed in the new school year.

If you would like to donate school supplies to this effort, please consider the following: backpacks, composition books, pencils, Crayola crayons (24 ct), spiral notebooks, college-ruled filler paper, highlighters, colored pencils and glue sticks. All donations should be new and unopened.

School supply donations with be accepted through August 15, 2016 at the following locations:

1 yard background fabric,
Batting at least 36 x 45,
1/2 yard binding fabric
Marking tool (mechanical pencil, ballpoint pen or temporary marker is fine.)
*Prep: Iron WRONG SIDE of a large variety of scraps (all together 1/2 - 3/4 yards worth) onto Fusible WEB (NOT interfacing). When Fusible WEB is placed between two pieces of fabric, the melting action causes it to fuse the fabrics together when heated. Small bits will give you more color, etc. whereas larger scraps a different look.....you decide!

Practice a wide spectrum of painting techniques in different mediums. Cost is $85 for the four sessions and includes enough paint and supplies to get you started.
