Make-A-Wish® will be hosting our 1st Delaware Walk For Wishes! The Walk will be held Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at Nemours Mansion & Gardens in Wilmington, Delaware. Join our Wish families, volunteers, donors, and friends in celebrating the power of a Wish. You may form a team, join a team, or sign up as an individual. There is a registration fee of $25 for adult walkers over the age of 12 and a $5 fee for ages 2-11. Register at philasv.wish.org/walk

The Charlotte Hall Rotary Club will host their 18th Annual Holiday Basket/Designer Purse Bingo to benefit Stephen’s Fund on Sunday, November 5th at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall. Proceeds will benefit special needs children and their families.
Doors open at 12:30 p.m.& early birds bingo will start at 1:30 p.m.
Regular games will start at 2 p.m.
Make a reservation to be included in the free drawing to win the 2017 Christmas Basket. The group leader with the most reservations will win the 2017 Elf Treats Basket & a Black Coach Tote.

Book study on "Living into God’s Dream: Dismantling Racism in America", by Catherine Meeks. Offered in two formats, both are open to all:
1) A live book study on Sunday afternoons in the Parish Hall from 2:00—3:00 pm October 8—November 12. Each week will feature a guest discussion leader from the community.
"Living into God's Dream: Dismantling Racism in America," is a collection of essays by 8 writers edited by Dr. Catherine Meeks (136 pages). The eight writers featured in Living into God’s Dream have spent years working to heal the wounds of racism. The essays weave together psychological, sociological, and theological threads, creating a body of work that will help readers reflect on their own journey as a White person or as a person of color.
The book is available online from Church Publishing, Amazon (book and Kindle formats), and other retailers. A limited number of books will be available from the parish office after September 12. Please call the office by September 5 to reserve a copy.
2) Online Facebook Group discussion will be offered on Wednesday evenings 10/ 11 to 11/15 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. More specifics will follow in the October Connector and Facebook.
