Take our water taxi to St. Clement's Island and explore! First trip leaves at 10:00 am with continuous trips to and from the island between 10:00 a.m to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. The last trip TO the island will leave at 2 pm and the last trip back to the mainland will leave at 3pm. The cost is $7.00 per person (no exceptions) and includes admission to the St. Clement's Island Museum. Call 301-769-2222 with questions.

The Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad & Auxiliary is hosting it's Annual Brown Bag Auction Fundraiser! Lots of great items up for grabs to include: Walt Disney World Hopper Passes, Georgetown Hoya tickets, Passes to Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf, 2 night stay in the Fall to Castaways RV Resort, Gift Certificates, items donated by local vendors such as Scentsy, Thirty-One, Tupperware, LuLaRoe, and much much more! The Ridge Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary will also be hosting a Vendor Fair that day and selling food and baked goods! $1 per ticket, 6 for $5, and an Arms length for $20. Join us for Downtown Tunes Country Night with Wesley Spangler—A FREE, all-ages concert from 6-9 PM this Saturday, August 27th. Bring chairs and blankets, grab dinner at a local restaurant and make a it a great Saturday night in Leonardtown Square! Presented by the Leonardtown Business Association and financed in part with a grant from the St. Mary's County Arts Council and Maryland State Arts Council, and series sponsors Quality Built Homes and Big Larry's Eatery. Event produced by James LePore and Heather Leanice. Music starts at 6 PM sharp!
ALL ABOUT WESLEY: If ever there was a natural-born entertainer, it would be Wesley Spangler. With each performance he gives you every bit of his heart and soul and always puts a smile on your face and gets your foot tapping.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in Southern Maryland, he has been performing in clubs through-out the east coast and Nashville Tennessee for the past ten years. Known for his energy and antics on stage, he brings his audiences "into" the music he plays. His multi-instrument talent is showcased on several songs in his shows such as playing the fiddle on Mountain Music by Alabama, one of five different instruments he is able to play.
"I love musical instruments of any kind, and it is addicting learning to play new ones!"
He has been able over the years to open on stage for such acts as Craig Campbell, Colt Ford, The Lacs, John Pardi,Sam Grow, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown, Jimmy Buffet, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Confederate Railroad, Ken Mellons, Aaron Tippon, Terri Clark, and others!

Wesley's song have been featured on over 15 different radio and internet stations in 4 countries including WMZQ 98.7 FM and WPOC 93.1FM!!
Wesley has finished recording original songs for an EP that includes "3 Beers Later", Why Couldn't It Be You", "Knockin' On Your Door" and " Yes I Do" , all local favorites! The EP is now out and available on iTunes and at all shows, and his debut CDs will be finished soon!!
