Help the Southern Maryland Teen Girl Anti-Bullying Program Win a $25,000 Grant and Vote Now
Southern Maryland. (Aug. 18)—Communities across the United States answered the call from State Farm® to submit causes that would make a positive impact in their neighborhoods. Now The Dream Queen Foundation needs your help by voting for them to bring money to the community. From Aug. 16 through Aug. 25, anyone with a valid email address can vote for their cause, the Southern Maryland Teen Girl Anti-Bullying Program, at www.neighborhoodassist.com/entry/1997211 to help them win a $25,000 grant which is awarded to each of the top 40 vote-getters.
Our cause seeks to facilitate an Anti-Bullying Campaign & Program in local middle and high schools to educate students. By providing them with a safe place to share, get to know themselves, celebrate successes, overcome obstacles, learn from role models, and take action in the direction of their big dreams and goals, we hope they understand their value and worth. The schools need assistance; stretched thin on resources to execute, they require community partnership.

Help us fight Homelessness in Southern Maryland!

LifeStyles is one of 200 finalists from across the nation selected to participate in the State Farm #SFNeighborhoodAssist contest for a chance to win a $25,000 grant award. All we need is your vote to make it into the top 40 by Aug 25. You can vote for our cause here www.neighborhoodassist.com/entry/1997179

What's our Cause?

Homelessness. From 2015 to 2016 homelessness grew by 35% in Southern Maryland.

Families and individuals are living out of their vehicles. Many times, these vehicles are packed with personal belongings, leaving just enough space for them to lay their head, sometimes in despair, pondering their immediate future. Some establish a place in the woods, sleeping out of tents and sometimes even makeshift tents. By doing so, they gain more space, and maybe even friendship as others place tents nearby. For many, the daily despair and bouts with depression add to their challenges.

At LifeStyles, we offer relief from some of these conditions. We offer food, showers, clothing, laundry, telephone, mail, and employment services. They can also access case management services and resources for permanent housing.

For many, especially those living in the woods, transportation is a challenge. So, we must go to them. We would like to expand our outreach services by traveling to additional locations to assist with showering, clean clothes, food, laundry and other necessities.
