As a reminder, Leonardtown is hosting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides 5K Walk on Saturday, May 21st. Registration starts at 10 a.m. The walk starts at 11 a.m. at the beautiful Leonardtown Wharf Park and winds through the streets of Town. There will be music and food for participants after the walk is over.

Calling All Vendors. The LVM will host several Flea Markets from June through October on the beautiful green outside the shop /across from the courthouse. We’ve had such an interest from our customers that we’ve started putting together our list of potential vendors/artisans. Whether you’re an old pro or a new flea market vendor, it’s a fun way to spend a weekend. We’re currently working on dates for the flea markets and will provide that information as soon as we have it. Weather permitting, the US Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble will be playing outdoors in historic Leonardtown Square Saturday, May 21, 2016, starting at 6 PM.

Highly regarding for their renditions of big band jazz over the last 40 years, the 19-piece ensemble, complete with vocalist, will play an eclectic mix of traditional big band music, exciting jazz vocal arrangements as well as fresh new instrumental music written specifically for the Commodores of today.

The concert is free to the public, and lawn seating is available. Enjoy dinner at one of our local restaurants, then grab a blanket or a chair and join us on the Square - dancing encouraged! The portion of the Square around the Memorials will be closed to parking and traffic. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be cancelled.
