If you love to dance, this is the fitness class for you.
Zumba Gold-Toning is the Zumba party that you love at your own pace with a low intensity total body workout using light weights to shake up those muscles. The class will focus on muscle conditioning, balance, range of motion and coordination -all in a party atmosphere. While this is a lower intensity workout, it will leave you high in energy. No fitness or dance experience necessary.

AARP Tax-Aide/IRS certified counselors will provide free tax preparation and electronic filing for low-to moderate-income taxpayers of any age in St Mary’s County, with special consideration for those 60 and older. Taxpayers do not need to be a member of AARP. Taxpayers (and spouse if married) must show picture ID and have a social security card for everyone to be included on the tax return. Bring a copy of your 2016 tax return, income information (W-2, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-G, etc.), documentation for deductions and tax credits, Form 1095-A if health insurance was purchased through the Market Place or Exchange), and banking information for direct deposit of your refund. Call 240 466-1740 to schedule an appointment at a site near you. This is an automated service; leave your name and phone number and your call will be returned. Walk-In Service is available for taxpayers on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon, at Church of the Ascension, 21641 Great Mills Road, Lexington Park. We are not able to prepare returns for businesses with employees or losses, farms, rental properties, or partnerships. Additional information is available at: www.smctaxaide.org .

On the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War 1, join us for a retrospective of the popular music of the time before, during and after the Great War.

Emotional songs, like Keep the Home Fires Burning and There's a Long, Long Trail, showed how the War affected both those fighting and those waiting at
home for their return.

Patriotic songs, like Over There, that rallied the nations to help support the War Effort.

Lighthearted songs, like How Ya Gonna Keep 'Em Down on the Farm, offered vaudevillian comic relief to war-weary Americans.

Anti-war songs, like 'I Didn’t Raise My Boy To Be A Soldier', reflected an alternative view of the war.

Both performances will be at Port Tobacco Players Theater (508 Charles St., La Plata, MD)
