Marylanders have a proud heritage of defending and serving their communities in times of war and disaster. From the volunteer colonial militias of the 17th century, to the citizen soldiers that responded to America's great conflicts, to support for hurricane Katrina, Marylanders have come together to protect our shores and borders in times of distress and disaster. That inherited spirit of service gave birth to The Maryland State Guard during the past two World Wars and continues today as the Maryland Defense Force.
Bravo Detachment serves the Southern Maryland region of the Maryland Defense Force and we are looking for volunteers to help support our missions.

Prior Military or NON Prior Military are encouraged to join; this is a great way to give back to your community.
