The Charles County Department of Planning and Growth Management previously announced that a portion of Rosewick Road would be closed to all through traffic beginning on Monday, June 23, 2008, and would reopen on or about Monday, July 28, 2008. Due to scheduling delays for the track work, this closure has been extended until Monday, August 18, 2008.

Rosewick Road will continue to be open to local traffic only from the Washington Avenue intersection eastward approximately 0.3 miles to the railroad tracks and from Radio Station Road westward approximately 0.4 miles towards the railroad tracks. Only emergency vehicles will be provided access through the full length of the road closure.

Signs are posted notifying the public of the closure and detour routes. This closure may be extended if weather or other unforeseen circumstances cause further construction delays.
