All kids learn boat handling skills and water safety. Sessions are based at the SMSA clubhouse in Solomons and include on-water instruction in training boats provided by the camp, plus land-based activities. Kids bring their own lunches, sunscreen, sunglasses and a lifejacket. A camp t-shirt and sailing instruction book are provided. Sessions are led by a US Sailing certified instructor and at least one junior assistant. Campers must pass a basic swim test at the beginning of the session. Check www.smsa.com for more information about SMSA and Summer Sailing Camp.
