This course is the new, revised 2006, American Red Cross Lifeguarding program. This course is designed to provide lifeguards with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the safety of patrons at aquatic facilities. Both a written and practical exam will be given at the end of the course and American Red Cross certification cards will be issued to all students that successfully complete all components of the class. Participants are required to attend all classes.

The program is open to participants age 15 and older. The class fee is $165 per person. At the indoor pool at Lackey, the program will be held each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, March 5-15, 5:00-9:00pm; and Saturday, March 10, 9:00am-5:00pm. The program will be offered twice at the North Point pool. The first program will be held each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday April 16-26, 5:00-9:00pm, and Saturday, April 21, 9:00am-5:00pm. Fri May 18 4:00-9:00pm. The second program at North Point will be Saturday-Sunday, May 19-20, 8:00am-6:00pm, and Monday, May 21, 4:00-9:00pm.
