Walter Lee Kendall, 67, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away at his residence, with his loving family by his side on March 4, 2013. He was born on January 13, 1946 in Washington, DC to the late Betty Louise (Norris) and John Albert Kendall, Sr.

Before becoming disabled, Walter worked in construction and later in various positions in the warehouse for Levitz Furniture. He enjoyed playing slot machines, bingo, cards, horseshoes, horse races, mini golf, bowling, and fishing. He also enjoyed the outdoors and the beach, especially family trips to Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was an avid Redskins fan and a huge Elvis fan that enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit and great sense of humor even through the hardest times of his illness.

Walter is survived by his brothers, John A. Kendall, Jr., Thomas W. Kendall, Frank A. Kendall, Chris R. Kendall; sister, Pamela A. Trexler; nephews, Billy, Mark, Robert, John, and Tommy; and nieces, Candie and Chrissy.

Family and friends will be received for Walter's Life Celebration on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Father Ray Schmidt will officiate. Interment will be on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
