Click to see full size photoMargaret M. Taylor, affectionately known to most as "God Mother", 97, of Ridge, MD died October 22, 2009 at her residence.

She was born to the late Mary Catherine Lee & Robert Bennett on January 24, 1912 in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

She was the faithful wife of the late Joseph Jerome Taylor, and mother of the late Bernard Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her siblings; Cecelia Elizabeth, Martha Beatrice, Mary Marnette, Edward James, Frances Rebecca, and Robert Anthony.

God Mother was a member of the first graduating class of St. Peter Claver School. She was a lifelong, faithful, active, and committed member of her beloved St. Peter Claver Catholic Church where she could always be found in her favorite pew. She was a member of her church's Seniors Birthday Club, the Rosary Group, Women of the Word, and a former member of the Ladies of Charity. God Mother loved to travel, especially on bus excursions, she enjoyed attending family gatherings, dancing, telling jokes, and eating out.

God Mother leaves to cherish her memory her nieces Loretta Ann Lane and Linda Bell, and her nephew Larry Moore. She also leaves a host of great nieces and nephews as well as her loving God children: Delois Barnes, Ann Loretta Dove, Wayne Barnes, Carlos Moore, and Chris Casagnol.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in St. Inigoes, Maryland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
