Willy Duro Grusholt, Jr., 83, of Mechanicsville, MD and formerly of Camp Springs, MD and Forestville, MD passed away on August 30, 2014 at Hospice House of St. Mary's in Callaway, MD. He was born on April 5, 1931 in Washington, DC to the late Willy Duro Grusholt, Sr. and the late Martha Washington (Tippett) Grusholt.

Willy loved spending time in Ocean City, MD with his family. He enjoyed dining out and cutting grass on his John Deere Tractor. Willy has lived in St. Mary's County, MD for the past 10 years. He was a member of many clubs and groups including Forestville Volunteer Fire Department, St. Charles Mall Walkers, Northern Senior Center Bingo, and Widows club of Southern Maryland.

In addition to his parents, Willy was predeceased by his beloved wife, Murle Maxine (Obier) Grusholt; brother, James Grusholt; and sister, Betty Hamrick.

Willy is survived by his two sons and their wives, Willy D. Grusholt, III. (Donna) and Michael E. Grusholt (Patricia); brothers, Eddie Grusholt (Ellie) and Kenneth Grusholt (Rose); sisters, Mary Myers, Joyce Beall (Elwood), Jean Streeter, Cathy Mattingly, and Louise Alley; five grandchildren, Jaime Davis (Chris), Emily, Nicole, Kyle, and Kelly Grusholt; and one great grandchild, Zachary Davis.

Family and friends will be received to celebrate Willy's Life on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.

Pallbearers will be Chris Davis, Doug Compton, Jr., Phil Diprima, Phil Albert, Gary Pashkevich, and John Myers.
