Mary Frances Montgomery Hart, 82, of Nanjemoy, MD passed away peacefully on July 2, 2014 at the Hospice House of Charles County in Waldorf, MD with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 23, 1932 in Riverside, Maryland to the late William Thomas Montgomery and the late Laura Cunningham Montgomery. She was married to the late Paul Churchill Hart who preceded her in mortality.

Mary enjoyed her days of gardening, crafting, and dancing. She will be remembered for her signature gifts of love, joy, her entertaining sense of humor and special times spent with family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by brother, Grant Cunningham, sister, Nellie T. Williams, sister, Estelle E. Montgomery, sister, Ethel I. Franklin, sister, Rosie E. Rollins, sister, Sarah L. Johnson, and sister, Nannie B. Datcher.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory brothers, Joseph Montgomery, and Ezekiel Montgomery (Pearl), sisters, Laura Williams, and Maggie V. Keys. sons, Charles L. Datcher (Juanita), Maurice T. Johnson (Melissa), Wallace L. Johnson(Kimberly) and daughters, Laura M. Yates, Rose E. Berry (Antony), Beverly V. North (Michael), Mary E. Montgomery, and Annie M. Wallace (John), her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In celebration of her life, Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Interment on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, 10:00 a.m. Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.
