Lloyd William Davis, 75, of La Plata, MD died on June 1, 2014.He was born on July 3, 1938 in West Virginia.

He is the son of the late Loyd and Stella Davis. He is also predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Davis, sisters Shirley Medley, Ginger Fox and his son-in-law Robert Taylor.

He is survived by his children Tony Davis (Barbara), Robby Davis (Kara), Michael Davis (Keri), Debbie Dofflemyer (Bill), Tiffany Taylor, Tony Liberto (Sandy), and brother Eddie Davis. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

Lloyd retired from the Washington, DC homicide unit. Then worked as a private investigator. He was a member of N.C.I.S.S., W.A.D., P.I.A.M. and past president of W.I.N. and M.I.S.A.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, MD where funeral services will be held on Friday June 6, 2014 11 AM. Interment will be held at a later date.
