Kenneth Alan Stump of Waldorf, MD died on April 15, 2014 at his residence with Hospice. He was 66 years old.

Mr. Stump was a Statistician for 34 years with the Census Bureau and a veteran of the United States Army Infantry, having served during the Vietnam Era.

He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of La Plata where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Director and he was named Deacon Emeritus. He was an outstanding example to all who knew him and was a loving and dedicated husband and father.

He is the son the late Arnold C. Stump and the late Ruth Moffit Stump. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Norma Ingle Stump; one daughter, Kristen Ryann Stump; one sister, Cathy Terlescki and her husband John; and two nephews, Dan and Jeremy.

Friends were received on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 5-8PM at the First Baptist Church of La Plata and where Funeral Services will be said on Wednesday, April 23, 204 at 11AM. Interment to follow at 1PM at the MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. Honorary Pallbearers will be the United States Army Honor Guard.
