Billy "Bill" Monroe Newton, 81, of Charlotte Hall, MD passed away on April 1, 2014 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. He was born on August 30, 1932 in Salem, Virginia to the late Gertrude (Mabes) Newton.

Bill loved being on the road as an owner/operator. When he wasn't working he wanted to be home with his kids and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, Bill was predeceased by his brother Calvin Newton and his sister Virginia Mullins.

Bill is survived by his wife, Faye E. Newton of Dundalk, MD; Son, David Newton of Albany, MO; daughter, Brenda Newton of PA; daughter, Tina Cox and her husband Arthur of Kingsville, MD; son, William and his wife Donna of Glen Rock, PA; and daughter, Regina Groft and her husband Michael (Ted) of Spring Grove, PA. Also surviving him are 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service with Army Honors will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Holly Hill Memorial Garden in Baltimore, MD. Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., of Charlotte Hall, MD.
