Delma Mae Douglas, also known as "Rabbitt," was born on November 26, 1967 in Charles County, Maryland to Martha Ann Douglas and Calvin Jerome Willett, Sr. Delma departed this life on February 21, 2014 at Washington Hospital Center. In her last hours she was surrounded by lots of family and friends.

Delma was educated in the Charles County School System and graduated from Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, Maryland. She also briefly attended the College of Southern Maryland where she earned a certificate in Child Care. Over the years she worked for Conversion Technologies, Inc., as a receptionist, Salvation Army Superstore Inc., to name a few and lastly she worked at Direct Mail Inc. as a Machine Operator.

Delma was well loved by all those that knew her. She was a very outspoken person. She was sure to liven up any family or social gathering with her outgoing personality. Delma was also well known for her hospitality. She always welcomed family and friends, even those she didn't know. She also loved to cook. You were always guaranteed a warm hearty meal. She also loved to play cards and watch movies. Overall, being with her family and friends meant the most to her.

She was so delighted upon the arrival of her two grandchildren Kae'mon (KK) and Koe'Vion (Fat Daddy). Those were the nicknames she chose for them. She loved them dearly.

When Delma gave her life to the Lord, she was truly overjoyed. We now rejoice in knowing that she is in the presence of the Lord.

Delma was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eleanor Douglas-Sewell and Herbert and Mable Willett; aunts, Mary Ellen Sewell-Young and Renee Willett; uncles, George, Andrew, Raymond Douglas and Archie Willett.

Delma leaves to cherish her memories, two children; Robert Titus Battle and Shawnita Renee Battle; two grandchildren, Kae'mon and Kae'Vion Washington; parents, Martha Ann Douglas and Calvin Jerome Willett, Sr.; sisters, Barbara Douglas, Tiona Cherenfant (Jodel) and Kelly Willett; brothers, Timothy Douglas (Brooke), Andre White, Calvin Willett, Jr., Tyrone Willett (Sontaria) and Stephen Willett; grandfather, Henry Pinkney (Alice); aunts, Anita Pinkney, Rosetta Sweetney (Thomas), Bertha Henry, Deloise Estep, Loretta Smith, Henrietta Wright, Barbara King, Eleanor Neale, Rose Willett, Sheila Willett, Brenda Willett, Glenda Stephney, Zera Willett and Ann Smith; uncles, James and Clifford Douglas (Geraldine), Jimmy, Joseph and Ricky Pinkney, Austin, Herbert, Marcus and Leon Willett and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; John Mobley who was like a son to her and very special friends who were like sisters; Katina Thomas, Kim Edelen, Colleen Daniels, Ida Smith and Shirlene Coates.

Her viewing will be held from 10am until time of service 11am on Tuesday, March 4,2014 at The Greater Mount Zion Church, 3170 Hallowing Point Road, Prince Frederick, MD 20678. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bryantown, MD.
