Dorothy E. Kaloz of Waldorf, MD died on February 24, 2014 at the University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. She was 89 years old.

Dot Kaloz was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends, music and dancing, as well as playing cards and going shopping with her girlfriends. She was a spectator of sports (pro-football, her favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Washington Redskins). She loved to watch on TV the NASCAR racing, the Washington Capitals hockey team, and her favorite daytime soap operas.

Born April 2, 1924 in McKeesport, PA she was the daughter of the late Michael Bak of McKeesport, PA and the late Mary Mayerski. She is also predeceased by her husband, Arthur Kaloz; her brothers, Mike and John Bak; and her sisters, Anna Warady and Mary Ruscin of McKeesport, PA.

She is survived by her sons, Arnold Arthur Kaloz of Beaufort, SC, Robert John Kaloz and his wife Dolores of Upper Marlboro, MD, Kenneth Charles Kaloz of Lusby, MD, Timothy Scott Kaloz of Waldorf, MD; and her daughter, Deborah Charlotte Warren and her husband Robert Alan of Annapolis, MD. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends received on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:30AM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment to follow at MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
