Charles Earl Boswell of Waldorf, MD died on February 21, 2014 at the University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. He was 87 years old.

Charles was a retired president of the Local 689 Metro Transit Union and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served during World War II.

He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing pool. He also enjoyed his old boats and most importantly, taking care of his family.

He is the son of the late Robert S. Boswell and the late Margaret Arnold Boswell.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna L. Boswell; three sons, Ralph E. Boswell and his wife Theresa, Stephen F. Boswell and his wife Michelle, and Phillip A. Boswell; one daughter, Julia D. Akowskey and her husband Michael. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial Service on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church (Piney Parish) in Waldorf, MD. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
