Jeannette Frances Chatelain, 88, of Waldorf, MD, passed away on January 11, 2014 with family by her side. Born in Bangor, Maine on June 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lee Mark Varney and the late Margaret Louise Flanigan Varney.

Jeannette worked for Navy Federal Credit Union for 32 years.

She was a savior of cats and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 57 years Donald; children Patricia (Michael) Zegowitz, Donna Johnson, Michelle Riordan and Michael (Dianne) Chatelain; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
