Sidney "Wayne" Cooper of Pomfret, MD died on January 6, 2014 at the University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. He was born on July 24, 1939 in Washington, DC to the late Irvin E. and Elizabeth A. Cooper. He was 74 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn T. Cooper; his daughters, Christine Moats and husband Eric of Waynesboro, PA and Jennifer A. Cooper of California, MD; and his grandchildren, Olivia and Dominic Moats.

Wayne was a technical illustrator with the Navy Department for 37 years. Upon retirement, he did freelance art and photography and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 10AM until time of the Funeral Service at 11:30AM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 with Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
