Peter Kropp Jr., of Lexington Park, MD died December 28, 2013 at Hospice House in Callaway, MD. Born September 4, 1939 in Queens, NY he was the son of the late Peter Kropp Sr. and Helen Kmetz.

Peter enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1957 to his honorable discharge in 1965. On January 1, 1967, he married his beloved wife, Gail E. Robinson. Together they spent 46 wonderful years together.

He was employed by Northrop Grumman and then the Federal Government as a Metal Fabricator until his retirement in 1998. After retirement in 1998, he continued to work as a Metal Fabricator at Platform Systems, where he was currently employed.

He was a life member of the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department and held numerous offices. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 255 (Ridge), the Moose Lodge (Mechanicsville), Abate of St. Mary's, the Red Knights Motorcycle Club, Maryland Knights Motorcycle Club, and Somersat Steam and Gas Engine Association.

In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by his brother, Paul E. Kropp of San Diego, CA.

Family will receive friends for Peter's Life Celebration on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with fireman's prayers at 7:00 p.m. at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department46900 South Shangri La Drive, Lexington Park, MD 20653. A Graveside Service with Fireman's Honors will be held on January 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
