Hazel Virginia Davis Scott, of Nanjemoy, MD passed away on November 3, 2013 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 13, 1927 in Marbury, MD to the late William Davis and Julia Bowie.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Scott Jr; brothers, Carlton, Donald and Melvin Davis; sister, Dorothy Hampton.

She is survived by her son Robert H Scott 3rd (Bobby); daughters, Deborah Scott Zagrodnichek and Cheryl Scott Crouse all of Md; Son-in-laws, William Crouse Jr. (General) and James Zagrodnichek of Md; grandchildren, John Ream, Angela Zagrodnichek Sypher, William Crouse 3rd (Billy), Bobbie Sue Scott, Tiffany Crouse Gilroy, Karen Scott and 10 great-grandchildren.


She worked as a bookkeeper and at The Diversified Mailing Company in which she retired from in the 80's. She loved flowers, plants and collecting angel. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family. She was an amazing woman with the sweetest nature that absolutely loved her family and friends and would go over and beyond to make anyone and everyone happy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, Md. Additional visitation will be held at Maryland Point Baptist Church starting at 10am, with services at 11. Burial will take place at Nanjemoy Baptist Church Cemetery on November 8, 2013 in Nanjemoy, Md. Pallbearers will be William Crouse Jr., James Zagrodnichek, William Crouse 3rd, Justin Gilroy, Richard Sypher, Andrew Embrey and Michael Ream. Honorary bearer is Brandon Ream.
