Sherman Morsell was born on September 20, 1945 to the late Roland and Estella Morsell. He peacefully departed this life on October 21, 2013 at Southern Maryland Hospital with his family by his side.

Sherman was educated in the Calvert County Public School System. He worked for many years as a truck driver for various companies. He could be seen behind the wheel with his unique smile until his accident in 2004. He was a member of IBEW Union Local #70 for 25 years.

He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and lover of Chevrolet vehicles. He often enjoyed family gatherings and special times with his grandchildren. He could be seen on the sidelines enjoying drag racing at Capital Raceway and Budd's Creek. During the Baltimore Orioles season, he and Ethel Lou enjoyed watching the nightly games. Sherman was an active member of St. Edmonds United Methodist Church until his accident limited his church attendance.

Sherman leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of forty-six years, Ethel Lou; his children Darwin (Robin), Shari (Rodney), Sherlyn (Tony), Sharon (Michael), Cotora (James), Shercora (Terry), and Morsell; siblings, his twin Herman (Jessie), Clarice, Annie (Robert), Audrey, Helen (John); 5 aunts, 1 uncle, 6 brothers-in-law, 6 sisters-in-law, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 devoted friends, Joseph Jones, Sr. and Calvin Gross, Sr., a special cousin and caregiver, Doris Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his siblings, Roland, Jr., Doris Ann, and Joseph, Sr.
