Gertrude Louise Tononi, 81, of Nanjemoy, MD passed into everlasting life on Sept. 19 2013 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 7, 1932 in Young Twp., Indiana Pennsylvania to the late John Nagg and Anna Sabo.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband Victor Tononi and first husband John Zagrodnichek: sons Richard Zagrodnichek, Leonard Zagrodnichek, Michael Zagrodnichek: daughter-in-law Mary Zagrodnichek and grandson Tracy Bandy.

She is survived by her sons John Zagrodnichek of Florida, James Zagrodnichek and wife Sherrie King Zagrodnichek, Anthony Tononi and wife Shawn Jones Tononi all of Maryland; step children Diana Tononi Wyatt and husband Tommy Wyatt of Texas, Pam Tononi Bandy and husband Billy Bandy of Kentucky and Victor Tononi and wife Peggy Tononi of Pennsylvania; daughter-in-laws, Debbie Dean of Florida, Deborah Zagrodnichek and Connie Wilburn Zagrodnichek Riggs of Maryland; grandchildren John Ream, Angela Zagrodnichek Sypher, Richard Zagrodnichek, Michael Zagrodnichek, Matthew Zagrodnichek, Pricilla Berkele, Tonae Tononi and Victoria Tononi all of Maryland, Tiffany Tononi and Ruben (Bink) Blake of Virginia, Milissa Zagrodnichek of Florida, Jonnie Zagrodnichek of Louisiana; step grandchildren Eva Hess Midkiff, Mary Hess Coleman, Kristie Hess Cunningham, Larry Hess all of Texas, Paul Tononi, Lisa Tononi and Michele Tononi all of Pennsylvania and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker that loved and enjoyed all of her family and friends, word search puzzles, bingo, dancing, coffee, eating crabs and listening to her sons play music while drinking a cold beer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 25, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, MD. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on September 26, 2013 10 AM at the Sacred Heart Church La Plata, MD.

Pallbearers will be James Zagrodnichek, Anthony Tononi, Michael Zagrodnichek, Richard Zagrodnichek, Matthew Zagrodnichek, Michael Burch, John Ream and Scott Hurley. Honorary bearers are Robert Scott, Jr., Dickie Smith and Richard Sypher.
