Carol Ann Simpson of Waldorf, Maryland, died on Friday, June 28, 2013 in Charlotte Hall, MD. She was 65 years old.

Born on December 21, 1947 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Shirley Jean Bailey and the late Franklin George Hutchison. Mrs. Simpson was a cashier with Giant who enjoyed playing golf, bowling in leagues in her earlier years, reading, crocheting and camping with her husband.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late John F. Simpson Jr.; her sister the late Sandy Hutchison.

She is survived by her son Dennis C. Simpson Sr. and his wife Susan of Charlotte Hall; her daughter Christina Jean Simpson of West Virginia; her grandchildren Craig Simpson, Cody Simpson and Andrew Catterton; her sister Nancy Crossley of Conyers, GA; her best friend Judy Chastain of Waldorf.

Visitation on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 2PM to 6PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 where Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 beginning at 10AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.

Pallbearers are Craig Simpson, Cody Simpson, Sean Chastain, Jeff Roland, Craig Starke and Judy Chastain. Honorary pallbearer is Gordon Chastain.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sjogrens Syndrome or to the Hospice of Charles County 2505 Davis Rd., Waldorf, MD 20603.
