Lillian Ormesher Welch 86 of La Plata, Md. died February 17, 2013 in Waldorf, Md.

She was born on May 26, 1926 in Liverpool, England to the late Leslie and Anna Ormesher. She is also predeceased by her husband Peter S. Welch and her daughter Lesley W. Cooke, and her sister Miriam Walker.

She is survived by her son Peter Welch, Jr., 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Lillian is formally of Long Branch, N.J., Was past president of her children's PTA while they attended school and enjoyed knitting and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked at Thomson McKinnen Investments which became Prudential Securities as an Administrative Manager overseeing and training office personnel. She was always a very loyal part of the operation and instrumental in the growth of the office.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday February 21, 2012 1 PM at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, Md. Pastor Wendell Stokes will officiate.
