David Christopher Blandford, 43, of Hughesville, MD died at his home on February 4, 2013. He was born on June 8, 1969 in Washington, DC to Thomas Ray Blandford, Jr. and the late Margaret Elizabeth O'Neil Blandford.

David served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army, participating in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He enjoyed sports, baseball, cooking, and had a great love of music; collecting baseball cards, boating, and being with his children and family. David was a great story teller and practical joker bringing fun and joy to every event. David was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Elizabeth O'Neil Blandford, grandparents Eugene O'Neil and Sara White O'Neil, Thomas Ray Blandford Sr. and Ellen Earnshaw Blandford.

David is survived by his father, Thomas Ray Blandford, Jr, his sons: Collin Blandford and Sean Blandford, his daughters: Kealey Blandford and Natalie Blandford, brothers: Edward M. Blandford (Lin) and Thomas R. Blandford III (Pamela) and his sister, Teressa Lynn Pepper (Timothy) and Godson, Thomas R. Blandford IV, nieces Crystal Pepper Sigafoose, Ashley Pepper, Tabatha Blandford, nephews Robert Pepper, Bradley Blandford, Tim Blandford, Mike Blandford, grandnephews Lucas and Camden Sigafoose and many other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends for David's Life Celebration Gathering on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's of Piscataway Church, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD. Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary's of Piscataway Cemetery, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
