Dorothy Ann Winn of Hughesville, Maryland, died on November 21, 2012 at her residence. She was 66 years old. Born on January 31, 1946 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Helen Louise Lusby and Grover Alfred Lusby.

A personnel coordinator for Charles County Government for over 20 years, Mrs. Winn was a life member of the Dentsville EMS and Auxiliary, Inc in Dentsville. She loved reading, tending to her animals and spending time with her grandchildren. She always would express her opinions on anything.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Winn, and her sister Carol Lusby.

She is survived by her daughters Melissa Ann Swann and her husband Tony of Hughesville, MD and Loretta Ashley Winn- Gilhuly of Hughesville, MD; her son Daniel A. Ward and his wife Deanna of Indian Head, MD; her sister Barbara Bullin of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren Danielle, Ashley, James, Ryan; her step grandchildren Michael, David, Kayla; her honorary grandchildren Dee Dee and David.

Visitation on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 2 to 4PM and from 6 to 8PM with EMS Prayers at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Funeral Service on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Corner of DuBois and Trinity Church Road (Newport), Charlotte Hall, Maryland 20622 with the Reverend Nancy James officiating. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
