Frank Edward Tyser, 85, of Waldorf, Maryland died at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland on November 24, 2012. He was born in Wheaton, Maryland on January 4, 1927 to the late Frank Leroy and Emma (Fontan) Tyser.

He served in the Army at the end of World War II in Italy and in the Korean War. He was awarded a Bronze Star for valor in 1951. Frank was Honorably Discharged in 1957. After the military, Frank became an electrician in Washington, D.C., and in later years was a security officer for the Department of Transportation in North Carolina. He enjoyed reading, landscaping, gardening, history, and music (even Tom Petty and Rod Stewart, lol)

In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his son, Richard Tyser (USMC); his brothers (Paul, Andre and Henri); and his sister Jeanne.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Anna Agnes (Heckert) Tyser; daughters Debra Wilson and her husband Frank William (Bill); Patricia Desmarais and her husband Phil; and Mary Morrison and her husband Chuck; grandsons Matthew and Jeffrey Ament, Chuck and Daniel Morrison, Richard Wilson and Lee Desmarais; and granddaughter Kelly Anne Morrison; 8 great grandchildren; and a great grandson on the way.

In addition to his familial roles, Frank was a patriot and hero. There will be a Committal Service with Army Honors held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Maryland Veteran Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623.
