Lenora Louise Denny of Waldorf, Maryland died on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Genesis La Plata Center in La Plata. She was 76 years old. Born on December 30, 1935 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Virginia Pearl and the late Louis Goodrick.

A homemaker and mom, Louise Denny was very active with the Salvation Army, especially in her younger years. The family lived in Fort Washington for many years. She loved going to the library, going to the Golden Corral in Waldorf, visiting gardens and lighthouses, hummingbirds and working in her own flower garden. A history buff, she was intrigued by the Civil War. She also loved animals, especially her cat "Kit Cat".

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband the late Tsgt. Clyde E. Denny; brothers, the late Freddy Goodrick, John Goodrick and Donald Goodrick; sisters the late Betty Hulbert, Mary Goodrick and Margie Goodrick. She is also preceded in death by her best friend and Sister in Law, Peggy Goodrick.

She is survived by her children Don Denny and his wife Sharon of Temple Hills, MD, Nancy J. Howard and her husband Jim of Waldorf, MD, Carol A. Denny of Richmond, VA, Steve Denny and his wife Amy (also "known"as her 3rd daughter) of Accokeek, MD; her sister Anna; her brothers Robert Goodrick and his wife Ethel, William Goodrick and his wife Mary and Daniel Goodrick and his wife Ursela; her grandchildren Jon Denny and Joanna Denny; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including a very special niece that has been an important part of her life, Marie Pickett.

Visitation on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 6PM to 8PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 with the Reverend Mark Roberson officiating. Interment on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11AM at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD (procession to leave the Raymond Funeral Service at 10AM). Pallbearers are Steve Denny, Amy Denny, Jim Howard, Don Denny, John Robert Pickett, and Jon Denny.
