Mr. McClure was born on July 5, 1940 in Hardburly, KY, he was the son of the late Tena Noble McClure and the late Navane McClure. His family moved to Gilboa, WV where he graduated from Nicholas County High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Navy May 28, 1958 and was a Yeoman onboard the Flagship USS Northampton until he completed his service on July 3, 1961.

Mr. McClure worked for the National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association for 37 years as Vice President of Memberships before retiring in 2004. After retiring he worked for several years for Plant Partners, a vendor that provided all the flowers to the Lowes stores.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty McClure Hipsley and his brothers, Jimmy and Leon McClure.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Yvonne Forsythe McClure; one son Kash McClure II and his wife Darla Hickey McClure; one daughter Victoria McClure Coombs and her husband T. Christopher Coombs; two grandchildren Kash "Tre'" McClure III and Reese McClure; his twin brother Edward McClure and his wife Jewel; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His greatest joy was his family and traveling to watch his grandson play sports and his granddaughter's gymnastics competitions. For many years he was active in the Western Charles Jaycees and was a JCI Senator. He was also on the Board of Directors for a boy's group home in Chaptico, MD for many years and did volunteer work for Charles County Christmas in April the last several years. He was also a coach for the Bryans Road Skyhawks football team and Parks and Recreation basketball league.

His Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Clergy will be Rev. Mark Roberson. His Interment will be on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11AM at MD Veterans Cemetery (11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
