Fowler, Holmes E. (Gene), 76.

Mr. Holmes E. Fowler (Gene) of Lusby, Maryland, passed away August 20th after a prolonged illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Holmes L. and Cecilia T. Fowler and his wife of 30 years, Wilma R. Fowler.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Paula J. Fowler; son Chad E. Fowler of Waldorf, Maryland; daughter Jennifer Ross and her husband Bob of La Plata, Maryland and their children Robert, Jr. and his wife Iulia of Lutherville, Maryland; and, Rachel Ross of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; brothers Joseph A. Fowler and his wife Anne of Reedville, Virginia; Thomas (Tucker) Fowler and his wife Katherine of Mechanicsville, Maryland; and, John R. Fowler and his wife Tracy of Hughesville, Maryland; stepsons, Michael Lusby and his wife Karyn and their daughter Karley of Waldorf, Maryland; Matthew Lusby and his finace Kathy Kornicki of Prince Frederick, Maryland; and Marc Lusby of Lusby, Maryland; and, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fowler was the co-founder and President of Waldorf Supply, Inc., a plumbing wholesale business established in 1962. In his earlier years, he sat on the Board of Directors for C.L. Watts, Chicago, Illinois and served one term as Chairman of the Board for that organization. He also sat on the Board of Directors for Old Line Bank. Always active in the community, he was a member of the Lions Club and CrimeSolvers before his retirement.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with prayers at 7:00 pm at The Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 24th at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Waldorf, Maryland. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hospice of Charles County.
