Ja'Nae Alicia Woodard was born to Marquetta McGee and Dwayne Woodard on February 22, 2005. She was called home by her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 24, 2012.

Ja'Nae knew God and had been welcomed into the Church as an infant. She was a seven year old, first grade student at Wade Elementary School in Waldorf, Maryland where she was on the Honor Roll and received the Principal's Award. Ja'Nae was a level three swimmer, studied gymnastics and was a member of Sharon's Dance class. It has been said it is not the quantity of life but the quality of a life well lived that reflects the measure of your love.

Ja'Nae was obedient, smart, outgoing, charming and had a mega-watt smile that could light-up any room. She was kind, loving, 'The Apple' of her mother's eye, her Dad's 'Delight', her Grandmother's 'Shadow' and her Grandparents 'Angel'. She was the glue that held the family together.

She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her joy-filled life, her father, Dwayne (April) Woodard; her grandparents, Patricia and Leroy McGee and Janet Brown Woodard; great grandfather, Alphonso Slye; uncles, LeRoy McGee Jr., Patrick(Nichole) McGee, Uncle Boo, and Anthony; great uncles, Tony Brown and Edward Brown; stepsister, Akrisha; special aunts, Phyllis, Lawon, Janell, Latrice Elkins, and Cassandra Hair; cousin, Tatyanna Liggins; grand aunts, grand uncle, and a host of cousins, neighbors and classmates at Wade Elementary School.

Family and friends will unite on Friday, July 6, from 10 AM until time of service 11 AM at Victory Chapel Sanctuary, 16401 Manning Road West, Accokeek, MD 20607. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Garden.
