Kenneth, Lee Klinger, 69, of Hollywood, MD, passed away at his residence on June 28, 2012. He was the son of Kenneth Henry Klinger and June Fecker Klinger. He was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on May 2, 1943.

He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Henry Klinger; his step-father, Thomas E. Deppen; his brother-in-law, Peter Brand; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hilde and Alfred Becker.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Ingrid (Hershey) Klinger of Hollywood, MD; his mother, June Fecker Deppen of PA; his siblings, Chris Klinger of Picture Rocks, PA, Judi Deppen of Herndon, PA., and Thomas B. Deppen of Mechanicsburg, PA; his sister-in-law, Hiltrud Brand; his brother-in-law, Werner Becker of Loffelscheid, Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Mahanoy Joint High School in Herndon, PA, Kenny attended Williamsport Community College. He was hired by Caterpillar Company and worked on diesel engines. Later Kenny changed his career and became a crane operator in the construction industry. He especially enjoyed being involved in projects at Camden Yards and at the World War II Memorial in Washington, DC.

As a young man, Kenny was an avid dirt track race car fan. He owned and raced his own car at regional tracks. He always followed NASCAR, and enjoyed attending races around the country with his friends. He participated in street rod shows nationally and sometimes entered his 1932 Ford.

Kenny was a member of the Hollywood Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers with Local Union #77.

He attended St. Johns Catholic Church, Hollywood, MD.

Family and friends will be received for a Memorial Life Celebration and Memorial Service on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 6-8PM, with prayers at 7PM, at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Father John Mattingly will officiate. Inurnment will be private, at a later date, in Herndon, PA.
