James Wesley Randall, Sr., 91, of Hughesville, MD, passed away at Charlotte Hall Veteran's Home on June 6, 2012. He was the son of Charles R. Randall and Elsie (Pyles) Randall. James was born in Forestville, MD on February 27, 1921.

James was a chief for the Forestville Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years and a lifetime member. He was also a member of Upper Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed gardening and going to watch the trains. James was married to wife, Carolyn on June 20, 1942. She passed away in 1978.

Aside from his parents, James is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Carolyn Margaret Sunderland Randall; his two sisters, Ruth Woodruff and Margaret Thorne.

James is survived by his son, James Wesley Randall, Jr. (Karen); his 3 grandchildren, Michele Scherer (Sean), Susan Landes (Dan), and James W. Randall, III. (Angie); and his 8 great-grandchildren, Travis Dean, Hailey Dawson, Sophia Randall, Briana Scherer, Nathan Scherer, Jacob Landes, Jordan Landes, and Lauren Landes.

Family will receive friends for James' Life Celebration on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 2-4PM and from 6-8PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11:00AM here at Brinsfield-Echols. Chaplain Warren Litchfield will officiate. Interment will immediately follow to Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.
