Charles "Sonny" Woodward spent most of his life in Charles County and was a member of the Cobb Island Baptist Church. He loved sports, especially football, and was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Orioles, and Washington Capitols. He enjoyed listening to music, playing games on his phone, fishing, and taking walks. Sonny loved talking and singing with his three children, they were his world.

Son of the late Charles Hamilton Woodward and Lynn Ann Nasella. He is predeceased by his father, grandfather and grandmother, Billy Franklin and Rose Marie Erwin.

Survived by his mother, Lynn Ann Nasella; step-father, James Anthony Nasella; two sons, Charles Hamilton "Lil' Sonny" Woodward, III and Aydan Matthew Woodward; one daughter, Kennady Marie Woodward; one sister, Shannon Marie White; two nieces, Kayla and Londyn White; two nephews, Noah and Ashton White; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

His viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 10AM until Funeral Service at 12PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy will be Rev. Joseph Blanton. Pallbearers will be Ricky White, Glen Erwin, Anthony Erwin, Cory Shymansky, Michael Nasella, and Justin Channey. Interment will follow Service at Christ Church Wayside (13050 Rock Point Rd., Newburg, MD 20664).
