Shirley Grace Sellner, 74, of Glymont, MD died on April 15, 2012 at the Washington Hospital Center. She was born on May 17, 1937 in Washington, DC to the late Clarence C. and Rosemary E. Johnson.

She is survived by her husband Richard A. Sellner, her son Richard A. Sellner, Jr. and his wife Karen, daughter Sherry Harding and her husband Douglas, and her grandchildren Shawn Sellner, Stephanie Sellner and Jessica Goss.

She is a member of the St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Indian Head, Md, Children of American Revolution, Daughters of American Revolution, the Woman's Club, 4 H Club the Westerners, Red Hats and had applied to the Colonial Dames. She was a secretary at the sheet metals workers International in her early working years then became the Clerk of the District Court in Charles County until 1981 retiring to take care of her parents. She also had a great passion for genealogy.

The family will receive friends on Friday April 20, 2012 at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home in La Plata from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday April 21st 10am at the St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, Indian Head, Md. Interment to follow in the St. Charles Cemetery, Glymont, Md.
