Eleanor Kalamar-Haupt, 72, of Waldorf, MD, died March 28, 2012 at Georgetown University Hospital due to complications of Breast Cancer. Born October 10, 1939, she was the loving wife of William Haupt and daughter of the late Joseph Kalamar and Fanny Kalamar, Allentown, PA.

She was a devout Catholic. Graduating from Central Catholic High School, she left home to pursue a career in Washington, D.C. as a secretary at the State Department. Several job changes later she worked for the United States Information Communication Agency before retiring in 1995. She later enjoyed working for a local private investigator. Most of all, Eleanor loved time with her husband, daughters, granddaughters, family and her friends. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William "Bill" Haupt; her daughter, Christina "Tina" Thompson and her husband, Joseph "Jay" Thompson and daughter, Wendy Buckler; her granddaughters, Gabrielle, Emma, Maddie, and Sophia, which she called her GEMS; her two brothers, Joseph Kalamar, John Kalamar and their families along with many nieces and nephews who she loved and adored.

A Memorial Mass of Catholic Faith will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00am.
