On Friday, March 16, 2012, Howard "Bernie" Carroll, Jr. passed away at his home in Waldorf, MD. He was 70 years old.

He is survived by his brother Raymond Carroll and his wife Carol and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his beloved parents Marie T. Carroll and Howard B. Carroll, Sr., his brother John F. Carroll, and his sister Helen E. McMichael.

Howard Carroll was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Adelphi, MD and then joined the National Guard. He was a retired member of Plumbers Local #5. He retired from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC. Howard will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with a Wake Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church (100 Village Street, Waldorf, MD 20602). Clergy: Fr. Alain Colliou. Pallbearers: By family. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery (1300 Bladensburg Road, NE, Washington, DC 20002).
