Kristen Britney Lock, 21, of Waldorf, MD, died March 2, 2012 at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD. Born December 23, 1990 in Wahiawa, Hawaii, she was the daughter of William O. Lock, III and Christina Marie Cortez Lock.

Kristen attended Chopticon High School and was a student at the College of Southern Maryland. Kristen was looking forward to transferring to Bowie State College to pursue a BSW Degree (Bachelor's in Social Work) this fall. She loved taking care of her daughter "Karina", dancing, listening to Latin Music, cooking and being with her friends.

Kristen is survived by her parents; daughter, Karina Consuela Coronado; brother, Joshua Brandon Lock and her grandfather, Mr. Victor Cortez of Santa Clara, California; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Robin Cortez of Santa Clara, California; Jerry and Kathy Cortez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ms. Vickie Cortez of Sunnyvale, California and Ms. Sandy Lock of Pasadena, California.

The family will receive friends for Kristen's Life Celebration on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
