Barbara Pearl Griffith of White Plains, MD died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. She was 69 years old. She was born and raised in Southern Maryland and embraced her southern heritage.

Mrs. Griffith was a Logistics Specialist for 35 years with Naval Sea Systems (U.S. Govt.). She was an avid Redskins and Elvis fan. She loved traveling and spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late Oscar Bastain and the late Ethel Kidd Bastain.

Predeceased by her parents and one brother, Linwood Bastain.

Survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Carl Griffith, Sr.; one son, Robert Carl Griffith, Jr. and his wife Rhomi of La Plata, MD; one daughter, Constance Ann Kenney and her husband David of Lexington Park, MD; three grandchildren, Samantha Dronenburg and her husband Kurt, Zachary Kenney, and Mollie Kenney; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service: Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 12 Noon at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Clergy: Rev. Matt Hall. Interment: Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers: David Kenney, Kurt Dronenburg, Glenn Saluter, Clarence "Buddy Reyes, Kevin Emick, and Brian Ronholm.
