Gladys M. Miller 94, of Hollywood, MD died on August 7, 2011 at the St. Mary's Nursing Center. Born February 27, 1917 in Alaska, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ashley and Nellie Cooper.

She devoted her life to her family and friends, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She could always be depended upon to offer encouragement and support to her family and friends.

She was married to the late Ernest Miller for 49 years. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Ginny) and husband Don Himes, and Kay Miller, grandchildren, Susan and husband Jim Basse, Steven and wife Sherry Himes, Joan Himes, David Himes, and Laura and husband Joe Casper, Christina and husband Chris Ashley and Julia Miller. She is survived by 29 great and great grandchildren. Mrs. Miller is also survived by her longtime friend and caregiver Bettie Byrd.

A private graveside service will be held at Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown, MD.
