Gladys Gibson Crawford, 97 of Bryantown, MD, died June 11, 2011, at Genesis Waldorf Center, Waldorf, MD.

Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker and a member of New Life Wesleyan Church in La Plata, MD. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed floral design and was very crafty.

Born March 9, 1914, in Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of the late Baxter Monroe Gibson and the late Dovie Glover Gibson.

Predeceased by her parents; husband, James Frederick Crawford.

Survived by her sons, James H. Crawford and his wife Judith of Bryantown, MD; Joseph T. Crawford and his wife Vicki of Waldorf, MD; brother, Roy William Gibson of Northfield, NJ; sister, Mary Faith Jennings of Brevard, NC. Also survived by three grandchildren, Pamela L. Vitko, Mark James Crawford and J.T. Crawford and six great-grandchildren, Faith Crawford, Hannah Crawford, Juliana Crawford, Luke Crawford, Noah Vitko and Joshua Vitko.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2011, at New Life Wesleyan Church, 9690 Shepherd's Creek Place, La Plata, MD, from 11AM to 1PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011, at New Life Wesleyan Church, La Plata, MD, beginning at 1PM. Rev. Hilson and Rev. Rummage will officiate. Interment will take place at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
