Joyce E. Fredge, 77, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away at her home on June 1, 2011. She was born on October 13, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Ella and Emmett J.A. Wagner.

Beside her parents Joyce is predeceased by her husband, Lionel Ralph "Lee" Fredge, son, Robin Guy Fredge and brother, Dale Emmett Wagner.

Joyce held a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, and retired from the Calvert County Public School systems where she taught for many years. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church where she participated in many activates including, Bible study. She appreciated her church and her church friends. Joyce also enjoyed traveling, the theater, scrapbooking, gardening and most of all her pets. She would make sure they were well cared for.

She is survived by her children, David Toby Fredge and his wife Susan of St. Leonard, MD, Jay Christopher Fredge of Prince Frederick, MD, Nicolette Denise Koehler and her husband Mark of Frederick, MD, Ari Lee Fredge of Washington DC and Cheri Anne-Joyce Shaw and her husband Mike of Lusby, MD.

Grandmother of seven, she is also survived by her sister, Lois Laverne Unger of Milwaukee, WI and her daughter-in-law Donna Dean of Lancaster CA.

The family will received friends on Thursday June 9, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home PA, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD. Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday June 10, 2011, 11 A.M. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Main Street, Prince Frederick, MD. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
