Blanche T. Quade, 76 of Mechanicsville, MD, died on May 29, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born on August 19, 1934 in St. Mary's County, she was the daughter of James Thomas and Annie Farrell Hill.

She was a Cook for P.G. County School Board. Also, she was a member of Ladies Auxiliary at the V.F.W. Post 9619 and 8810. Her enjoyments were bingo, slots, and dancing to country music.

Predeceased by her husband, James A. Quade, Sr., siblings, Katherine "Bummie" Ellis, Ella Mae Quick, Mary Helen "Poogie" Dickerson, Louis "Bootie" Hill, Sr., and Howard "Stud" Hill.

Survived by children, Donna Maria DeMent of Mechanicsville, MD, Patricia Lynn Chilton of Brandywine, MD, and James Albert Quade, Jr of Elk Mills, MD, siblings, Anna Marie Bowles, and Joseph Hill, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with Services held at 7 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. Interment will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
