On Monday, April 25, 2011, James A. Jackson left his beloved home in Waldorf, Maryland to find paradise and a final resting place. James was born on January 12, 1983 in La Plata, Maryland to Barbara Jean Warren and the late James Anthony Jackson Sr.

James attended Henry E. Lackey High School. He was employed by the Manpower Corporation at the time of his death.

James was a remarkable son, brother, and friend to many. Most of all, he was a great father to his children Trevon (11), Destiny (8), Tamara (4) and Mikayla (3). His children was his life. He enjoyed every minute spent with them. James believed to be successful in life, you had to be productive (especially when he became a part of his "Sho Boat" family.) His love of music was his goal. He knew he'd make it "Big" one day. Every lyric he rapped about, he always got his point across.

James spent many years making sure he looked out for his two brothers, Tyrone and Javon. They did everything with one another. When he couldn't get on their nerves, he'd call and get on his sister's nerves, we all knew who that was. James was very book smart, you could never win a bet; he just knew too much! Whether it was math, or history he knew it all.

James loved his mother dearly, and no matter how much she argued and told him no, he just wouldn't give up until she gave in (and she would). He loved hanging out with his family and friends making sure he made the best out of every occasion. If he acted out, he knew Crystal (girlfriend) wasn't far from "James lets go" (She was time enough for him).

In addition to his father, James was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Clinton and Blanche Jackson and Charles and Arlene Warren, uncle, Cleveland Hawkins and cousin, Shalisha Jackson.

Left to mourn his passing are his mother, Barbara, brother, Tyrone and Javon, children, Trevon, Destiny, Tamara and Mikayla, nieces, Breazia ,Jamiyah, and Zyrielle nephews, Xavion, and Tank; a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends, especially a longtime devoted friend and the love of his life Denise Hawkins.

James may have left us unexpectedly and so suddenly without notice, but deep down inside, if he could do it all over again he wouldn't change nothing about himself. He was a soldier while here with us, now an angel in God hands. You will be truly missed, but never forgotten. We love you, James.

His viewing will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011, 10am until time of service 11am, CHAPEL of Thornton Funeral Home, PA, 3435 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD. Interment Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, MD.

Arrangements provided by Thornton Funeral Home.
