Mr. Sallie was a Painter/Decorator with the U.S. Government - Library of Congress Architect of the Capitol for 30 years and was a member of the Church by the Chesapeake in Port Republic, Md. He liked fishing, woodworking, gardening, landscaping, antiquing, interior decorating, snow skiing, and drawing. He had a good sense of humor.
Son of the living Jack Sallie and the living Margaret Fleeman Sallie. Survived by his wife, Carol Jean Sallie; his parents, Jack and Margaret Sallie of Mountain City, TN; two daughters, Dawn (Aaron) Coulby of HI and Tina (Thomas) Santoro of FL; one brother, Jack (Ann) Sallie, Jr., of New Market, MD. Also survived by five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Leighlin, Julianna, Olivia, and Caleb. Visitation: Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service: Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.
